Then another coffee break with painting in between and the painting of the bridge is done.
Some time to rest in between rearrange our stuff so ewe can take in only one bag to the B and B tomorrow evening.
We went to dinner at a restaurant about 10 minutes form Quarante, called Auberge La Selette.
It was an amazing experience both in the cuisine as well as the atmosphere. Un Cadeau ( aka in the US as an amuses bouche - it tickles me that we have adopted a French word) of a large shot glass with Pumpkin soup topped truffle mousse (cream). It was an experience in and of itself. The ladies suggested the fish and chips and were they ever right! Two pieces of fish, in an amazing batter accompanied by the best tarter sauce ever! A tiny amount of salad and a small amount of beautiful tomato mix that reminded me of a bruchetta topping. Jodi and I shared Tarte du Citron for dessert. Annika had a Chocolate cigar and it certainly did a fabulous job of appearing to be so.
IT was all lovely and the company was equally so!It was an amazing experience both in the cuisine as well as the atmosphere. This leg of the trip has been fun, educational, and maybe even opened a door into another part of France I could spend long amonts of time in..... later.....
